About Your Midwife

Birth is a deeply personal and transformative experience. Choosing your care provider is an important decision, and it matters that you feel safe, supported, and truly cared for throughout your journey.

I am here to walk alongside you with thoughtful, relationship-based care that honors your values, your intuition, and the natural process of birth.

I have felt called to this work for as long as I can remember. Even as a young girl, I was drawn to babies and knew I wanted to be a mother. I also had a deep curiosity about the human body and how it worked, and for a long time I thought I would become a pediatrician.

When I became pregnant at 18, everything shifted. I immersed myself in learning about pregnancy, birth, and newborn care, and I became deeply aware of the way a woman’s body is designed to grow and birth a baby. It felt powerful, intentional, and deeply meaningful.

As I grew my own family, that passion only deepened. Motherhood was a season I fully embraced, but the calling to midwifery never left.

After my youngest was older, I began pursuing the path to become a nurse midwife. Along the way, I realized that the medicalized model of birth in a hospital setting did not align with the kind of care I felt called to provide.

I shifted my path and began mentoring with experienced midwives in my community, attending both home and birth center births. Through this hands-on training, I was able to learn the skills, traditions, and values that have guided midwifery care for generations.

My approach to care is rooted in building relationships and providing individualized support for each family.

I believe birth is a normal, powerful process, and that families deserve time, attention, and support throughout their experience. Prenatal visits are an opportunity to build trust, ask questions, and prepare for both birth and postpartum.

During labor and birth, my role is to provide calm, attentive support while honoring your body and your unique experience. Care continues after birth with postpartum visits focused on healing, newborn care, and supporting your transition into parenthood.

At Village Roots Midwifery, my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, respected, and never alone in your journey.

If this approach resonates with you, I would love to connect and learn more about your hopes for your pregnancy and birth.

This is where I felt at home—and where I knew I was meant to be.
